READ 3310 - Incl Emergent & Early Literacy |
Prerequisite: Full admission to the Teacher Education Program. Corequisite: FOED 3810. Study in emergent and early literacy learning (birth through age 8) combines theory and practice in literacy assessment, teaching reading, writing, and language arts. Emphasis on addressing the needs of young children with developmental, communication and language delays. A minimum grade of B or better is required to meet requirements for licensure and practitioner candidates.
