Prerequisites: CHE 3010, CHE 3050, CHE 3051, CHE 3510, CHE 3511, CHE 3550, CHE 3551. Corequisite: CHE 4051. Mathematical description of diffusion and diffusive-convective mass transfer. Mass transfer with reaction. Dimensional Analysis. Mass transfer in one and two-dimensions in Cartesian, cylindrical, and spherical coordinates. Integrated labs demonstrating the concept of diffusion, computational experiments, and demonstrating the effect of geometry, flow, etc., on mass transfer.
