Prerequisite: ECE 2850 (or ECE 2050); PHYS 2120. Introduction to sensors used in vehicles including: oxygen, tire pressure, emission, temperature, blind spot monitoring, etc. Focus on principles of measurements, theory of instruments and sensors for measuring typical physical quantities in mechanical and electrical systems. Calibration, measurement uncertainty and noise.
