CHE 4060 - Chemical Reaction Engineering |
Prerequisites: CHE 3010, CHE 3050, CHE 3051, CHE 3510, CHE 3511, CHE 3550, CHE 3551. Corequisite: CHE 4061. Chemical reaction kinetics and chemical reactor design. There is an emphasis on homogeneous reactions and ideal and non-ideal reactors. Introduction to laboratory experiments to illustrate typical situations found in chemical reacting systems: kinetics parameter determination, residence time visualization, and introduction to different types of reactors, (i.e., batch, tubular and gradient-less).
